Tissu Nature, natural and ethical fabrics in Switzerland
Tissu Nature: who are we?
Tissu Nature is a mainly online shop, based in Treyvaux (Fribourg), offering natural fabrics and accessories as well as scarves and stoles that are ready to dye, though they can also be used raw. This for Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Launched in 2025, Tissu Nature is a brand of Dugué Atelier 81. We import our fabrics directly from India from Green-Taylor, the company of Laura Chantebel and Mayank, founders of the French brand Fibre Bio (www.fibrebio.com). Their fabrics are rigorously selected according to ecological and ethical criteria. Our fabrics are 100% natural, with no synthetic fibres, dyes or finishes.
Tissu Nature was created by Mireille and Greg. We wanted to create something together, a project that would match our expectations, our respective skills and our ethical and ecological values.
Importing these fabrics ourselves met all of that.
Mireille:
I have been sewing and dyeing natural fabrics for more than five years. I am passionate about creation, textiles and nature. At Tissu Nature, I test the products, create tutorials, advise customers and prepare orders.
When I wanted to order wool and silk fabrics to dye with the resources offered by my garden and the surrounding forest, I turned to Fibre Bio. Shipping costs and customs duties almost doubled the price of my order! It was through my exchanges with Laura that the idea of a Swiss distribution took root.
Greg:
I am always up for setting up projects, especially those where I have everything to learn! When Mireille told me about her idea, I was immediately on board! At Tissu Nature, I handle everything IT-related: the website, social media, communication and the importing of fabrics from India, in direct contact with Mayank.
Our concerns:
The textile industry has a disastrous impact on the environment: from the pesticides that poison land and people to the veritable mountains of discarded clothing that invade and pollute parts of Africa, the whole chain is riddled with harm to the environment and to people. With Tissu Nature, we give sewing enthusiasts, artists and craftspeople in Switzerland the chance to create on ethical and ecological materials.
All this with a quality guarantee, fast service and a fair price. We also hope to give everyone the advice they need. Créa-Tine, a designer in Oron-la-Ville (VD), for example, makes most of her textile products with our fabrics.
