This wild silk is called peace silk because the silkworms can complete their entire life cycle. The cocoons are harvested only after the moth (Bombyx) has flown away.

Because silkworms feed on different plants in the wild, the silk has natural variations in colour and texture.

It is undyed and slightly textured.
Use: This silk can be used to make scarves, tops, dresses, jackets and other garments. It is also suitable for items such as cushion covers, curtains and table runners.
The fabric is ready to dye. It is perfectly suited to natural dyes. It has already been pre-washed for dyeing. For best results, simply soak it in water for 30 minutes before dyeing. For strong, intense colours, consider mordanting it.

Care: machine wash on a delicate cycle, or hand wash, max 30° with a mild detergent.
